Gorgeous early Taxco Mexican Sterling Choker in a Modernist Stylized pelican or bird design!

Circa 1940s

Signed on back Sterling, the Taxco marking is scratched out, I do not know when or why. I have seen one other necklace identical to this and the mark is present on that one. I am happy to provide proof of that upon request

This is a heavy piece, weighs in at 90 grams on my scale and is 17 inches end to end not including the clasp. 3/4 inch wide.

Very much in the style of William Spratling but I could not attribute this piece

Excellent condition, light wear, examine pictures closely. I have not polished this.
