Get ready for cooler weather with this classic 1940's red and black plaid work shirt by Riggs Sportswear.
Features a loop collar, two front patch pockets, and button closure on chest and cuffs.
Tag indicates size Large, with a 16 to 16 1/2" collar. Please see actual measurements below for proper fit.
No tag to indicate fabric, but it feels to be a wool or a wool/cotton blend, or possibly a thick cotton. It is soft and lightweight. There is no lining.
This shirt is in very good condition for it's age!!!! There are a few small pin sized holes (see photo), which are quite small, and not really noticeable. There is some wear on the collar, most noticeably on the right side (see photo), and on the back of the collar, there is a section that has been stitched back together - it looks as though that area was also worn. That spot really won't be seen, as it's on the back of the inside of the collar. Since this shirt is about 75-80 years old, this would be considered normal wear and tear. This shirt was loved in it's day! Other than these notes, I could not find any major holes, tears, or stains.
