I was SO excited to find this dress recently, because I LOVE anything from R& K....always made so well! "R&K original" label circa late 1940s NEW LOOK swing dress made of chocolate brown taffeta, with fantastic details and tailoring.

can be seen in the photos ,the ChocolateTaffeta skirt has a lot of details with raised quited lines that zigzag across the skirt, along with brown ribbon. Fantastic dress for dancing! The close up shows two very small holes...probably from cigarette ash, but the dress does not have any odors, and this is a smoke free home, so no need to worry about smoke odors. When held up to the light, I found 6 tiny ash holes ( oh, those evil cigarette ashes!) that cascade across the left breast. Wearing a black slip should make these invisible, as they are the size of a pin head, or smaller.

The pleated sash belt is attached across the front of the dress, and buttons in the back with 5 sturdy covered dome buttons and wide loops, all in the same fabric.

Dolman Sleeves are three quarter length, with high peaked cuffs for a dynamic silhouette. No stains or damage under the arms. Orignial triangular shoulder pads of moderate padding are in place.

Skirt is a complete circle.

Hidden left side seam zip from the armpit to the hips silver metal zipper and teeth.

V neck line is closed with a single snap, but can be moved, according to one's modesty.

Overall condition is very good or better tiny tiny holes , here and there, but no stains, tears, snags, or fade.
Appears gently worn, no major issues, very wearable
So pretty and elegantly .... this is a wonderful addition to any collection!
