An oven proof covered casserole dish from Knowles Utility Ware. Knowles china was manufactured from the 30's to the 60's. This piece was made in 1945, as indicated by the first two digits in the number stamped on the bottom. The white dish is round with two handles and a lid with a knob handle. Pink floral accents are on either side of the dish and lid. The lid is also accented with silver metallic rings. It holds 2 quarts and measures 9 1/4 in circumference and 4" high (covered). Excellent vintage condition. Catalog # 7333
