Lovely 1940's two piece wool gabardine skirt suit. Features a classic 40's silhouette, with padded shoulders, tailored waist, and diagonal button closure. Jacket is fully lined.

Faux pockets on jacket.
Metal Lamar zipper closure on skirt, with button flap. Button does not appear to be original to the suit.

Lovely pleat detail on waist of pencil skirt, skirt also has a small slit at hem.

Structurally, this set is in good to very good vintage condition. There are a few loose seams, repairs on the lining, and a couple small moth holes (size of a ball point pen tip).
The issues with this beauty are in the fabric - there is fading, stains, and some discoloration on the jacket, skirt, and lining.
Therefore, she is being sold AS-IS.

This set would be great as a costume piece, or it could be restored. She's got such a unique style, the jacket detail is SO 40's!

No maker or fabric tag, but it feels and looks to be wool gabardine - which is very typical for a women's suit of this time period.

There is no stretch to this fabric, please note measurements carefully for best fit.
