Circa 1940 style ring a faux jade glass stone held by a fine filigree brass setting. It fits an average to large woman's size 8, but can be adjusted to maybe one size larger or smaller. *** since this ring is 80 years old, I recommend sizing it only once, as to not pop out the glass or compromise the integrity of the brass metal.*** It is a statement ring measuring .75 inch. The brass ring detail of open work flowers and scrolls has been naturally antiqued. The faux jade is ground to a smooth surface to show the white speckles in the jade colored glass. Also note that the fine filigree edges could possibly catch on fabric when wearing, so please be careful!
This ring is circa 1930 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time, probably Neiger. There are no marks or manufacturer name on this piece, but appears to be a Neiger Brothers design. The Neiger Brothers started making jewelry in 1903, only to flee Germany and move their factory to another country in the 1930's. They did not mark their jewelry.
