40s hats went a little crazy sometimes. This is not technically a beret! This sewn straw hat is unique in that it's piled high like a lot of 40s hats (see all photos). It has 3 layers and you can wear it many ways. The big bow looks like it was meant to be worn in BACK! (that's where the labels are) But it just looks so retro cute in the front. Has Strawbridge and Clothier label along with consumer protection label from the era. CONDITION NOTE: The grosgrain inner band is mostly missing. You may want to cut some of the edges on the bow which are a little frayed so price kept low.
