This dress is even more vibrant in real life. The fabric is a lighter weight barkcloth.

The dress can be worn back to front or front to back, I tried in on both ways. The drape on ruffled neckline is very attractive on a body. Hand sewn ruffle on the bottom. No pockets. Hand sewn lace trim on the neckline which is very unique.

Fastening on the side with a non metal zipper which makes me think this is either a repair job (original zipper being metal) or a repro of a 40s dress. Hook fastening at top of zipper. The dress is unlined and I don't think a slip is required.
