Beautiful little 1940s hat. Fabric is between a mulberry and wine velvet. Scrunched crown is wrapped in folds of fabric while the 2 1/4 inch brim is wired and curled on each side.

The interior is finished with a stiff lining and a ribbon trim. Attached is a wide ribbon for placement security.

As for the condition it does show some wear. The silk velvet has folded in areas as it tends to do with age. There is no other damage to mention.

Inner circumference is 17 inches as this is closer to a toy tilt. Measuring on the outside, side to side is 12 inches.
