This long lightweight delicate chain necklace is an antiqued gold color. The long cable chain measures 42" inches and can be doubled over easily. Spaced throughout the chain are eleven, open work filigree antiqued gold beads that measure .75 and .25 inch. It has a nice weight to it and light weight.

There are no makers marks on this necklace.

This metal necklace is circa 1940 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
