1940s true vintage large black crocheted cord beret hat to wear many ways. This fabulous hat was crocheted in the era from a crochet pattern book. The cord purses would be a good match, as in my very large one. It is a heavy cord cotton thread that is 12"across. 9" high if puffed up. It has a very small opening of 19" and it isn't meant to pull down on your head as newer ones do. It does Not stretch. It is to sit to the back or to side as shown. Bobby pins may be needed to secure it. It is lined in black satin fabric. An extremely well made hat and in excellent condition. No flaws seen.
