Gorgeous Puff Sleeve Full Length Fur Coat from the 1940's--Iconic puff Sleeve

This is so warm, and the fur is so thick and durable, made of mouton fur, which is sheared lamb. Mouton is a high-grade lambskin that's specially processed to mimic the density and radiance of sheared beaver or mink fur. The wool fibers of a mouton pelt are straight, not curly. The coat feels like a luxurious thick velvet---think velvet with higher pile.

The inside cuff has elastics that are like new.

This coat reminds of the movie "All About Eve" when Betty Davis throws on that gorgeous coat, this is the shape that it has. Diane Keaton wore it with the adorable matching hat in Godfather II.

Excellent condition, except for a little rip in the lining near the label.

Heavy and warm.
