40’s 40s Hand Crocheted Purse Handbag Celluloid Frame

Gorgeous 1940s hand crocheted popcorn purse with celluloid frame and handle.

Hand crocheted popcorn stitch in variegated corde yarn in shades of blue, brown, and yellow as pictured.

The attached handle is translucent root beer color celluloid with figural peacocks as pictured.

Lined with black silk satin.

8" - Tall (top to bottom)
7" - Wide Across Top
8-1/2" Wide Across Bottom

CONDITION: Very good condition. There are no stains, odors, rips, tears, or other issues. The interior is clean with no rips, tears, stains, marks or odors. The frame is missing the top clasp that would hold the top closed.

Very gently used and very well cared for.

A gorgeous and unusual bag. Most of these popcorn crocheted bags are done in either black, white or creme corde yarn.
