Vintage evening gown with fabulous pleating detail, most likely made in the late 1940s. Labeled Original Design Pat. Pend. US, this piece just screams GODDESS!

Made from bronze-hued gold weighty satin fabric, it has micro-pleating that starts on the back (see close up detail on pic 5) and cascades down and throughout the volumnous skirt, (cut on the bias). Unlined/no content label (feels synthetic), dry clean recommended.

Preowned/vintage (70+ years old) with signs of use and prior wear: pulls to satin fabric, some darkening/spots to exterior (most noticeable on hemline of skirt); metal side zip looks to be replacement and needs to be re-sewn (zipper works fine, the zip cloth needs re-stitching in places). Still a unique and absolutely gorgeous dress despite its flaws!

No size tag, we're estimating this as a modern size S/M. Measurements (appx and taken flat, doubled where appropriate): bust - 36in, waist - 27in, hips - free, shoulder to hem - 52in.
