New old stock 1940's.

Brown wool felt beanie style hat with a small 2 inch brim. Center holds a small with a cluster of red and green feathers tucked into the side hatband which is a brown grosgrain ribbon. Interior is finished with the standard petersham ribbon. Also attached to the inside is a long grosgrain ribbon used to secure the hat under the chin. It loops with a small wooden tab to ride up or down. Still wearing the price tag of $1.00.

Good condition showing minimal age related wear. No holes or odors. The hatband, chin and interior ribbon has faded a bit. The side feathers are also showing some wear. They could be replaced.

The only tag is the union label, Consumer Protection, IMSC which was in use between 1939 and 1950, along with a separate price tag of $1.00.

Inner circumference is 21 inches, measuring on the outside, side to side is 16 inches.
