This 1940s-1950s house dress has been preserved well! It is very cute and ready to wear. preserved well. The fabric is still amazing and has a crisp feel to the cotton. The dress is well constructed and seems to fit a 1940s style according to the side zipper and seam construction. The skirt is quite full and has some large pleats sewn into the bodice of the dress. I love the details on the neck.

The fabric pattern is darling because it is a small tree with a vine. The zipper is long and zips up the side to allow for entry into the dress. It works well, just go slow.

After measuring it seems to be a women's large (possibly extra large).

There is a tag but it is very faded and ragged and not readable.

NOTE: the blue belt does not come with the dress, it is for a smaller size waist. Also two of the buttons have lots their little diamonds.

I measured flat across the front:
