Late 1940s vintage black sheath dress with fantastic structural bodice by Bain's Las Vegas. Exceptionally chic little black dress in a lightweight rayon. V neckline The upper bodice is beige satin with a swiss dot lace overlay. There is a stiffer rayon petal bodice that lays over the beige upper bodice. It's a very Mugler look. Dramatic and sculptural. From under the pointed rayon bodice sprays of swiss dot tulle ruffle outward. The natural waist is nipped. The front waist is pleated and draped beautifully across the front hips. Fitted skirt with an inverted pleat at the back for movement. Scoop back with a pointed back waist seam. Metal back zipper. Unlined.
