40s Black Swing Coat with Plaid Lining
This is a beautiful swing coat from the 1940’s. The coat features velvet trim on the collar (beautiful detail with cording and sequins) and the cuffs; three button closure with Black (Jett?) buttons; Front slash pockets; fully lined. The fabric is similar to grosgrain while the lining is more like taffeta. There is a slight demarcation where the collar folds and is not visible except when lying flat. The Cuffs on the sleeves can be left down or tuned up as much as you like. The fit is forgiving and would work for an size 8-12.
