Incredible 1940s suit jacket with cape-like flutter sleeves. Buttons all the way up the front. All buttons are there. No label besides the Union label. Wool with a rayon lining. The shoulders are super padded and bold.

Measurements:

Bust~17” from underarm to underarm measured inside the jacket

Waist~about 26. 5” across the waist from button hole to button stitching (it doesn’t lay perfectly flat)

Length~25” measured down center back

Shoulder~15” across shoulders measured inside the jacket

Sleeves~16. 5” sleeve from underarm.

Condition: There is a pinhole in the lining and the underarms are faded white. I attacked the white with a wet rag and it didn’t lift or fade at all so I’m leaving as is and pricing accordingly. Some spots on the upper left chest near the shoulder where the fabric is worn thin. Maybe moth nibbles or something? It overall presents beautifully and I only noticed the nibbled bits when I was steaming and looking at it in the sunlight.
