1940s DESIGNER DOROTHY O’HARA BLACK SILK DRESS W GREAT TWISTED DESIGN FRONT.

RARE Designer vintage from 40s Hollywood designer Dorothy O’Hara. No tags but feels like silk or a silk blend. 3/4 sleeve midi dress. Gorgeous draping on front and basque waist make this dress universally flattering. O’Hara was known as the “Sculptress in Fabric” for her dresses that featured artistic drape and fit. Dress is light, silky and slinky and moves beautifully.

In good vintage condition. Scattered pinholes. 1/2 inch pull in the fabric which is hidden inside the draping on front lower skirt- not visible when wearing. Hook and eye clasp is missing the hook at top of the zipper. Very light/faint fading at shoulders. Also not visible when wearing. As with all of our vintage pieces, we are selling this dress As Is. priced gently for flaws. Overall, presents beautifully. Dress is dry cleaned and ready to wear.
