Asymmetrical, yet well balanced! This classic 1940s black rayon crepe cocktail dress features a row of gathers next to the off-center keyhole neckline opening, and an elegant, pleated and draped pocket on the right hip. The cap sleeves have medium-sized shoulder pads. Bust darts shape the bodice above the fitted waist. There is a small slit at the left side of the hem, for ease of walking. The lightweight rayon crepe fabric is unlined. The dress fastens at the left side with a metal zipper, as well as a shorter metal zipper at the back of the neck. In excellent condition, the only issue to note about this versatile 1940s cocktail dress is that the original belt is not present.
