1940s Black Garrison Tilt Hat with Black & White Feather - 1940s Black Hat - 1940s Black Tilt Hat - Black Tilt Hat - 40s Hat

Professional construction with a milliners union label found at the interior band. The hat is done in a bold black wool and features a black and white striped feather detail. The larger feather is originally white, it appears that a previous owner painted the black stripe. The hat is styled as a garrison inspired tilt cap.

The top interior crown features an intricately stitched wire ridge around the sides and the rear for a perfectly pert presentation every time. The intended fit is as shown, at the top crown of the head with tilt placement to your discretion.

Condition is listed as very good plus. The wool hat foundation is flawless. I note some residue at the interior grosgrain fit ribbon, this does not present when the hat is worn. The feather shows some damage - please see photos. No other issues to note, presentation is truly lovely.
