1940s black wool felt hat by Medfield. It has a whimsical spiral ribbon-wrapped accent on the front, anchored at the bottom with a large diamond-shaped faceted and pronged glass stone. There is a fine black netting wrapped around the crown. It's in good condition with the following slight flaws - the veil has some breaks in the netting and needs to be secured again on the right side. The elastic strap inside is unattached on one side. There is a place on the top of the left side of the brim where the felt is lighter than the surrounding area. It measures 22 1/2" in circumference, stands approx. 3" tall in the center, and has a 2. 5" brim.
