Late 1940s dress in black faille. Overlayer of micro pleats at empire bustline and at puff sleeves. High scoop neckline. Criss cross insets at waist above a flared, gored skirt. Beautiful movement, plenty of twirl! Back metal Murlen zipper. Attached structured, long tailed bow at back waist.
Small pinhole in interior of bust that is completely concealed on the outside by the overlay. As pictured, the "Harco Originals" label is haggard and coming unattached. This could of course be remedied but I prefer to leave it in it's original state. That is truly the only flaw of note, overall in really excellent condition. Construction is still very sturdy- no tears or fading. What a lovely piece of history! 🖤
