Vintage 40s Black Peplum Beaded and Embroidered Dress
I am not certain of the material but seems like rayon crepe. Small shoulder pads. Side nylon zipper.
36" bust (19" underarm to underarm and slims a bit toward bust), 28" fitted waist, 36" hips. 44" length, 18" bodice, 15. 5" shoulder, sleeve is 12" around at end - Model is 5'1" XS 31/24/34, mannequin is 5'8" XS with 32" bust/26" waist and this fit loosely but pretty well as shown.
This dress is in good condition with small flaws: very subtle fade (reddening of black) around neck and to lesser degree across shoulder seam, tiny fray at v of neckline and also at edge of embroidery, tiny area of wear on material beside bottom of zipper, marker tip size hole along side hem of skirt and also on upper back, pen tip size hole near hem, quarter size area of wear on back lower skirt (see collage photo where I have my hand behind this spot, it is included with photo of purple flower). Underarms are just a bit worn. These holes and wear were found while holding dress up to light/closely inspecting.
