Beautiful vintage 40s aviation blue matte taffeta evening dress.

Classic fit and flare style with a fitted bodice, nipped waist and full gathered skirt.

Medium weight matte taffeta faille strapless gown with sweetheart neckline accepted with ruching at the center front.

The bodice is shaped and boned for a firm fit, and comes to a point at the center front and center back as pictured.

The bodice front is embellished with a row of scalloped ruffles, and the back of the skirt is embellished with the same ruffles as pictured.

The skirt is gathered at the waist seam flaring out to a beautiful 140" bottom sweep.

Does up with a 12" long metal left side zipper.

Please note the dress is shown with a crinoline which is not included.

CONDITION: Very Good - there are no stains, rips, tears, holes, odors, thin or shiny areas. The only thing is some minor seam straining at the front and back seams and right side bodice seam.

DESIGNER LABEL: There are no labels. This may be handmade by a skilled seamstress or tailor.

SIZING: No labels. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Extra Small.

Please note the dress is clipped to fit my size XS mannequin.
