RARE Circa 40's ANNE FOGARTY Dress
This is an Awesome and Rare Anne Fogarty Dress from the 1940's. It has Long Sleeves and a Gorgeous Full Skirt. The Color is Chocolate Brown with Bright Colors in a Plaid. The Bright Colors are: Tomato Red, Gold, Green, and Purple. It has a Metal Zipper.
Some History of Anne Fogarty - Anne Fogarty started her design career in 1948 and began working for the Youth Guild. In 1950 she went to work for Margot, Inc. The Label on this Dress is Anne Fogarty Margot Inc. During the 50's her dresses had fitted bodices and full skirts with crinolines. In 1957 she started doing her designs for Saks Fifth Avenue exclusively. In 1959 she wrote a book named "Wife Dressing". This book gave advice on how to dress to please a man.
