Vintage peacock chenille robe with original belt. Circa 1940s to early 1950s. .
Plush white cotton chenille with bands of blue woven in around the shawl collar, sleeve ends, both sides of the front, and around the bottom. Coordinating blue cotton twisted cord belt with fringed ends as pictured.
Beautiful center back peacock in shades of blue, green, gold and red as pictured.
Wrist length bell sleeves. Ankle length. Right front patch pocket as pictured. Long vertical back darts for a flattering fit. Unlined.
Wrap style is held together with the coordinating belt as pictured.
I'm 5'4" and this comes to my ankles. This may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.
CONDITION: Good. The colors are crisp and bright and there are no holes, rips, or odors. There are two minor issues: 1) There is a small area of missing chenille on the left front bodice near the underarm seam which can be seen in the close up photograph of the side. 2) There is some minor yellowing around the bottom of the him on the inside of the robe, which does not show through to the outside.
LABEL: No labels of any kind.
SIZING: Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small to Medium based on how you like your fit.

Outer Sleeve: 22-3/4" Shoulder Seam to Sleeve End
Inner Sleeve: 17-1/2" - Underarm to Sleeve End
Bust: 36" + due to wrap style
Waist: 34" + - the metal snap could be moved over to add a few more inches
Hips: 39" + due to wrap style
Bottom Sweep: 39"+ Around
Length: 56" - Center Back to Bottom
Belt: 75" long (includes 5" fringe on each side) and 3/8" diameter
