40s 50s Rare Watumull and Leilani Hawaiian Cotton Shirt Loop Collar Coconut Buttons$250.00
A rare label from Hawaii! I bought this shirt back in the 70's and was intrigued by the unusual label. It came with a front repair, (see close up) so I never planned on selling it, but now that I see other clothing with the same label selling for as much as $600, I don't mind discounting this to $225, because of the repair. The repair could be colored with a sharpie, or fabric from the wide front interfacing could be used to patch the area. I don't think it's terribly noticable, as it is, due to the busy-ness of the design.
I stopped wearing it years ago, because I did not want it to be exposed to the sun, or anything else. It has been stored in the dark, for years, and looks great! Fade is very minimum, and the front patch pocket has heavily re-enforced pocket corners, and the shirt has french seams. The back shoulder yoke has 4 pleats, 2 each side. There are original coconut buttons ( even the collar button!) . When I did an ETSY search for this label I found a dress in the same fabric! So there could be a his and hers wedding in matching fabric! hahahaa!
