This vintage coat is so special— you could honestly spend a lifetime searching, and not find one just like it. Made in the early 1950s (possibly late 1940s) it's crafted from the most gorgeous plush velvet in a true cranberry red. It is fully lined on the interior, and there is a considerable amount of fabric, giving it a generous sweep, and lots of drama. It is hooded, but it's not just any hood: the oversized cut is like something out of a fairytale, yet this piece remains totally wearable and grounded in reality without veering into costume territory, probably because it's so luxuriously made, and it's clearly meant to be worn over something just as lovely. Measures about 40" in length, with a single ornate closure at the neck— this detail makes it so special! It's shown on a size Small, and will fit a wide range of sizes since it's not fitted and meant to be voluminous. The Vintage Eyelet Slides pictured are also available in my shop.
