Betty Harrington
40s/50s Rare Betty Harrington Adona And Aphrodites Statues$189.00
Aphrodite and Adonis, the two dancers brought to life by Betty Harrington through her timeless design and beauty.
The figurines were manufactured in Madison Wisconsin at the Ceramic Art Studio. The elegance of the movement is stunning.
This company produced a lot of commercial pieces, which were sold through Marshall-Fields, but as well small batches of rare hand-thrown pieces.
These two dancers seem to be late 40's to early 50's since the company closed in 1956. ( started in 1942-)
These where not painted. Story is that sometimes the artist women hired to paint these statues would steal them and sell them to provide for family. These are more rare than the painted ones which are going upwards of over $750 if you can find them. I am offering at a really fair price.
These are in PERFECT condition without any cracks, crazing or chips. I also package very well and double box if needed so unless they are tossed out of an airplane you should get in same perfect condition.
This rare set is him, standing 9" tall and her, standing 7" tall.
Betty Harrington's home black, clay/ceramic decorative objects.
Excellent condition, size OS.
