Beautiful vintage 1940s - early 1950's era Maxi Formal Dress. It has caps sleeves with little shoulder pads. The beading is in iridescent black beads and in excellent condition. I'm not sure of fabric content but I think it's rayon. The only label in the dress is just a brand label saying Du Barry Fashions - Trade Mark, New York. The dress is unlined, but drapes beautifully.
Condition is very good overall. There was a repair made to a tear of one underarm. - see close ups. It is missing it's original belt, and one belt loop is torn. I took pictures of it with a velvet beaded ribbon which isn't perfect but gives you an idea. I will include this ribbon with the dress when sold.
