40s 50s Inland Glass Company Heat Proof Glass Carafe with Original Carboard Tag Coffee Decanter Blown Glass

Vintage silver and glass coffee carafe, with aluminum topped cork stopper, and a platinum band around the center. Made by the Inland Glass Company of Detroit, Michigan. The carafe holds seven cups, and comes with the original tag on a string which has some damage to it, as seen in the photos. With the cork top, the carafe measures 13 inches high and 6. 5 inches wide (without the cork top, the carafe measures 11. 5 inches high). I found this while thrifting, back in the 80's, and I have 2, so I can spare this one for now. Handle is an art-deco black Bakelite handle. Bottom is flat, and stands up on its own. Some models came with a heating stand, or you can find a heating stand separately. Makes a great gift for the mid-century collector. These normally for about $35-75, depending upon condition, etc., style of handle. This art deco handle seems to be the earliest and rarer design. I am selling this for only $40, but and I always double box anything breakable. . Works well as a vase and bar display piece. Enjoy!
