If a cloche and a bowler hat had a baby, it would be this hat! There's no other way to describe this style. It's smallish and if you have a small head like the mannequin, it could be worn as a cloche. If your head is bigger, you would wear it more to the back of the head, which is how I wore this hat from my own collection. It's has been mine for a while but right now it doesn't suit me, so this exceptional cutie is now up for grabs. No maker name but Hatter's Union label is still there, from 1896 to 1983. This is more 40s/50s. Use as a dressy hat or casual (the latter is preferred here when sequins are involved). Made with corde strands and black velvet (not velveteen) and black sequins. Rolled brim, round crown. Some hand stitching in the grosgrain sweatband. No other flaws. 22 3/4" around inside of sweatband.
