A magnificent example of the decade. Jewelry in the 40s was colorful, larger and since pearls and precious metals were scarce during the war polished semi-precious gemstones and crystals were used with pieces still being created using the same high quality jewelry making techniques.

This necklace is exactly as it was in the 1940s when it was made. Sodalite, Angelite and Serpentine stones have been strung by a master jeweler using the same technique as they would a strand of lustrous pearls. Strung on silk and hand-knotted between each stone for strength and durability, this is both beautiful and strong. This is an heirloom keepsake that should be passed down. But first, it should be worn!
