Gorgeous 1940s medium weight skirt suit.

The fabric is a medium weight green rayon and cotton blend as pictured.

The hourglass shaped peplum jacket features front and back vertical darts for a perfect fit.

Center back inverted pleat as pictured.

Functional front packets accented with white linen/cotton blend inserts as pictured.

V neckline with double layer banded collar as pictured.

40s rounded interior shoulder pads for shaping. These are easily removable with a few snips of the scissors if you prefer a natural shoulder line.

Short sleeves with white turnback winged cuffs.

The center front does up with three self covered domed buttons.

Matching skirt with an interior elastic waistband which does not show on the outside.

Front and back darts for a flattering fit.

A-line shape with a 19-1/4" tall center back pleat as pictured.

Does up the left side with a well working 7-1/4" metal zipper and single button.

Both the jacket and skirt are unlined.

Belt loops are present, but no belt.

I'm 5'4" and this comes to the middle of my calf. It may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.

DESIGNER LABEL: None. This appears to be made by a skilled seamstress or tailor.

CONDITION: Excellent - There are no stains, rips, holes, snags, fading, discoloration or other issues. The only thing is a slight storage odor which will come out when this is dry cleaned.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.

Shoulders: 15" - across

Outer Sleeves: 9-1/2" - shoulder seam to sleeve end (includes 1-1/2" wide turn back winged cuffs)

Inner Sleeves: 5"

Bust: 35" - underarm to underarm

Waist: 27" - around

Bottom: 39"

Length: 23" - top of shoulder to bottom

MEASUREMENTS OF SKIRT:

Waist: 26"

Hips: 38-1/2"

Sweep: 45" Around

Length: 30"
