These sterling silver Eisenberg earrings are from the late 1930s to early 1940s. They are set with rhinestones of different sizes and have screw backs. (More info about Eisenberg jewelry is below.) Free shipping in the US.There is some tarnish on the silver and the stones vary from clear to gray to almost charcoal in color. I don't know if this was intentional (please see the "black diamond" reference in the section below) or if they are clear rhinestones that have become dull. Either way, the set of earrings has an almost haunting, delicate quality, as if they've got a long tale of love and loss to share. The "E" for Eisenberg is on the back of one of earring and it says "Sterling" on the top of the screws on the back elements.Measure: 1" x 1"
