This is a beautiful vintage MCM Egyptian revival multi-colored scarab beetle link bracelet. It was made in the 1940's-1960's with 6 scarab beetle links, each hand carved on the top side and the underside and prong set. The colorful and ornate scarabs were made from peking glass, which imitates fine jade and other precious stones. In this piece the gemstones mimicked are jade, carnelian, black onyx, green onyx, rose quartz and chalcedony. The metal has a brass finish through ought the top and a silver finish on the underside. It closes securely with a fold over clasp. The area around the clasp used to have a brass finishing but has been worn down to a silver finishing now.

Condition:

Great vintage condition with age appropriate signs of ware. The scarab beetles are in great condition with no chips or cracks. The metal is in structurally great condition but the brass color finish on the link area and throughout has fading, leaving a silver tone.
