Jacket measures 15” across the shoulders, 38” through the bust, 28” at the waist and length is 25”. Sleeves are 22” long from shoulder seam to cuff. Skirt measures 27” at the waist, 38” through the hips and length is 26” with 3” in hem to let out if desired.

The workmanship on this is stellar as you would expect, beautiful seaming on jacket, slit detail on high bust, padded shoulders, bound button holes, covered buttons, extra layer of lining under arms, generous seam allowances in skirt, and those fabulous agate buttons! They are set in a gold-tone metal which has just a tiny bit of tarnish but it’s very hard to notice as the frame is so thin. Fabric is wool with full silk crepe lining in jacket; skirt is unlined with metal side zipper and hidden hooks on waistband. Label reads ”Irene exclusively for L. S. Ayres Indianapolis”. Very good condition with no stains; shows no wear; has that tiny (1/16”) abrasion on the sleeve that you see in the quadtych photo and a 1/16” hole on skirt also another 1/16” hole that is low on front of jacket and would be hidden when jacket is buttoned. True colors are a medium to light brown tending toward grey variegated with white; I think the photos will show this much better than I can explain it.

**A note on measurements: I like to give measurements on items rather than a numerical size as I find this to be a much more precise way of determining size. If the garment I have measures the same as a garment you have, you can be assured of a good fit. If you have any questions about how I did the measuring just email! PS don't forget YOU must measure at least 1-2 inches smaller than the garment does for comfort! :)
