The shallow crown of this 1940s wide brimmed black straw hat is adorned with giant black velveteen pansies. A narrow band of velvet encircles the crown. Looking at the underside of the hat, you can see the inner structure of the same black straw that allows it to tilt back and rest securely on the head. The wide brim will frame the face beautifully! In very good condition, the only issue with this wide-brim 1940s hat is the fading to the velvet of the narrow hatband. There are no other issues to note—the straw and the floral trim are in great condition!
