Beautiful cut on this 1940s 2 piece dress suit!

Paper label only, no makers label remaining.

Semi -sheer black rayon fabric with what appears to be a handkerchief pattern or an arial garden?

- something lacy? Pretty bright pink and cream with black outlines.

Also, green accents that suggest movement, or perhaps leaves.

Rounded 1940s collar with large fabric covered buttons on jacket. metal backs.

Long sleeves.

Fitted waist with peplum style jacket. Peplum is lined.

Swag layered accent.

Dress has sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice with short cap sleeves.

Midi length A line cut. with swishy skirt.

murlen metal zipper.

Side metal zipper on dress.

Padding on shoulders but could be removed.

CONDITION:

Over all very good condition! The dress cap sleeves have need of repair- it has two threadbare

"holes" they are about 1/2 of an inch that could be stitched.

Hem of skirt for most part intact but some loose places. It isn't hanging and staying in place at the moment but will eventually need attention.

Metal zipper works fine just be mindful not to have fabric underneath to grab.

COLOR is great- even in tone and wear. Fabric has very minor surface wear.

Jacket button holes are fine but are a little stretched.

Just gorgeous considering age-
