Vintage 40s navy blue rayon shirtdress.
Light to medium weight smooth rayon fit and flare day dress.
I have lightened a few photos to show details. The color is a rich deep navy blue.
Notched collar with vee neckline does up the center front with metal snaps concealed underneath decorative textured blue lucite buttons as pictured.
Defined waist seam and short sleeves with fold up cuffs accented a matching decorative button as pictured.
The bodice features panels of decorative smocking at the front of the shoulders and just above the waist.
The bodice front is lightly gathered where it is sewn to the shoulder and waist smocked panels.
The bodice front is embellished with twelve 3-D navy blue grosgrain appliques in the shape of hearts as pictured.
Six panel mid-calf length skirt.
Unlined. Does up the left side seam with a 10" metal zipper.
Belt loop, but no belt.
