40’s Chunky Yellow Knit Varsity Cardigan

Incredible vintage 1940s wool varsity cardigan in sunny yellow chunky knit. Sweater has front waist pockets and off-white buttons. Made by Roger L Johnson - Headquarters for Athletic Sportswear the A.E. Alling Rubber Co. - New Haven Connecticut. Hand dyed in sunny yellow by us! Hand dyed using dharma acid fast dye; must hand wash cold dye might bleed a tiny bit at first. Air dry, do not put the dryer. In great vintage condition - hand knit/dyed and is a vintage piece so there will be some inconsistencies in sweater. To note: a small hole in underarm, one repair near end of sleeve, and a couple of minor pulls in back. (see photos)
