Gorgeous vintage Chinese silk brocade cantilever wedge shoes. Circa 1940s.

Deep blue silk brocade with a woven-in scene print of pagodas, cherry blossoms, and people done in pink and silver as pictured.

Five strap uppers accented with silver leather piping as pictured. Self-fabric slingback straps are elasticized at both ends - there are no buckles or other fasteners.

The uppers and straps are fully lined with brown leather as pictured.

Self-fabric insole is padded in the back heel area for comfort.

Stacked cantilever style heel accented with silver leather piping as pictured.

DESIGNER: Incised "Made in China" on the bottom sole of each shoe.

SIZING: Incised with an "8" on the bottom of the sole which is accurate based on the measurements below. I wear a size 8 shoe and these fit my feet.

MEASUREMENTS:

10" - heel to toe inside footbed;

3" across the widest part of footbed;

2-1/4" tall heel

CONDITION: Good condition with no odors, rips, tears, or stains. There is some minor wear to the silver leather piping on the uppers of both shoes.

The right shoe has some minor fraying to the slingback strap, as well as a tiny 1/8" long slit on the insole by where the slingback strap is sewn to the shoe.
