1940s evening ball gown / ballgown / by GARY Atlanta.

Couldn't really find much about this label, but exquisite piece in it's day.

Fitted bodice with sweetheart neckline ruched bust and panels that form a V down the front.

Strong boning on the sides.

Double straps are sturdy and hold the weight of this heavy dress.

Adjustable by stitching.

Fabric is really unique.

Metallic gold thread creates a type of fish scale pattern.

Back zipper.

Skirt has pleats all around and has an apron style overlay.

The rest of the skirt is yards and yards of tulle and netting.

So much drama and SO 1940s.

Very good condition - there are some patch repairs at the under arms. The patches on the inside and are sturdy. See last pic.

Definitely a dramatic dress. Would be great for a photo shoot.
