40’s 50’s Red Silk Velvet Gown Jacket Holiday Gown

Gorgeous 1940s 50s formal gown in deep red with silk skirt and velvet bodice. Skirt is lined with mauve silk. Horsehair hem. Bodice has sweetheart neckline with ruching. Narrow satin shoulder straps. Boning in front. Side metal zipper. The cropped jacket has cap sleeves, long pointed collar and covered buttons up the front. Unlined. No labels present. Very good condition. I noted one tear in the silk at the waist next to the zipper - pictured.
