Sensational fashionable and fitted this Mary McFadden Collection set for Neiman Marcus has a longer length shaped blazer with broad bands of colors in designs influenced by art. The short skirt is a solid color apple green. The designer difference is the choice of fabric the attention-getting print and the trims such as the thin purple piping and the woven front buttons.

Both garments are fully lined and lining for the blazer is a purple color while the apple green skirt is lined with a softer shade of green.

This is a such a well made suit from Mary McFadden and the exterior and the interior are in pristine condition.

Because this blazer is from the 1980's there are internal shoulder pads inside the lining. These are not the large shoulder pads more of a neutral size to make the jacket hang well on your shoulders.

The blazer is in Excellent Vintage condition. There are no stains odors holes or faded areas. The cuffs neckline lining and the underarms are all clean.

Likewise the skirt is in Excellent Vintage condition with a side zipper and top hook and eye closure at the waistband.

Both pieces of this suit have both been freshly cleaned and come to you from a home with no pets and no smokers.

For those who may have not heard of this designer Mary McFadden was known for her exotic designs which were influenced by her travels in Africa and Asia. Her design career began in 1973 when she began selling hand painted silk dresses at Bendel’s a high end department store. In 1975 she patented a new pleating technique which produced a fabric that looked like that of Fortuny but was made from polyester and in which the pleating was permanent. This fabric became her trademark along with exotic embroideries and beading. She established a ready-to-wear line in 1976 but much of the work was done by hand and was quite fine.
