36 Vintage Glass Balls Ornaments White Ivory Cream Silver Champagne$74.00
This is a set of 36 vintage glass balls in different shades of white and beyond—white, off white, silver-white, champagne, cream-yellow white, and more. I love the contrast of the different hues. Vintage white glass balls are getting harder to find, and the packaging of them in this array of shades makes them even more unusual.
The pictures actually show fewer balls than I’ve listed because I found extra ones after I had packed the original set away and didn’t want to re-do the photos! At least you’ll get an idea of how cool a large quantity look together.
They were originally Christmas ball ornaments but can be used anytime of the year and for any purpose. They’re perfect for farmhouse or cottage decors, or really any décor for that matter!
15 large balls that are about 3” including the necks. Some are much whiter than the others and were made by a company called MSK in the 1990s or 2000s, so they aren’t as true vintage as the rest. One is a pre-World War II ball made in Poland (technically silver but has developed a lot of cloudiness that makes it fit in well with the rest of these). Another one was originally silver but has had a lot of paint loss so is essentially clear with spots of silver.
15 mid-size balls that are about 2 ½” including the necks. Some of these are silvery or cloudy.
6 smaller balls that are about 2” including the necks. Some of these are also silvery or cloudy.
These balls have the gorgeous patina of vintage glass balls that just can’t be replicated with new ones. But along with that beauty comes their age marks—some scratches, crazing, fading, spots, discoloring, paint loss, rust or tarnish on the caps, or other imperfections. See pics.
The bowls in the pictures are not part of the listing—they’re just to show some of the many ways these balls can be used beyond the Christmas tree.
