Black polka dots on a lush textured creamy white silk a slight peplum waist blazer plus the Adele Simpson designer name are the defining features of this chic vintage skirt and blazer set. Made in Hong Kong it was sold at Balliet's Department Store in Oklahoma City. There are hidden snaps in front to hold it closed and both pieces are fully lined for comfort and for an even better fit.
There is a size label showing size 6 however please use the measurements below to make sure that it will fit you as sizing has changed over the years.
For the blazer:
Bust size is 36 and 1/2 inches.
Sleeve length is 18 inches.
Full length is 22 inches.
Waist is 28 inches.
Hemline width is 37 inches.
For the skirt:
Waist is 26 and 1/2 inches.
Hip is 39 inches.
Length is 24 inches.

As with all Adele Simpson designer garments this suit is fashioned to fit and flatter your figure.
It has three quarter sleeves and the front can be fully snapped or the top snap can be worn open.
Because this is from the late 1970's there are no shoulder pads.
Fully lined this skirt has a side zipper plus a top hook and is in the traditional slim pencil style.
The blazer length will come to just slightly below your waist for a very flattering fit.
Freshly dry cleaned it will arrive ready to wear with perhaps a light steaming to get rid of any wrinkles from being folded for packing.
In Excellent Vintage condition there are no stains odors or holes and the cuffs neckline and underarms are clean.
It comes from a home with no pets and no smokers.
Adele Simpson was an American fashion designer who was most prominent from the late 1940's until 1985 when she retired and sold her business. She received many awards for her work. Available in high-end department stores her dresses and gowns were worn by President's wives society women and those who recognized quality. She also worked with companies like Vogue to design patterns so women could make their own versions of her clothes using her patterns and their own fabrics.
Balliet's is an icon in Oklahoma City ever since the upscale department store was founded by Edna Balliet in 1936. It is still in business after celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2016.
