30s White Rayon Jacquard Cape Dress$178.00
Fabricated in a white rayon jacquard with a lovely drape
Early 1930s, pops over the head with no fasteners so allow for ease.
V-neck with a capelet detail in the back
waist seam with an additional dropped waist seam at the high hip
Stitched tucks in the front of the skirt, plain back
unlined
Maker: unknown
Condition: Very Good with a few small repairs. The inside neck seam was fraying, so I added a 1940s french rayon bias tape to clean finish. There was a small area on the wearer’s left, just in front on the side seam and just above the hem, with a small tear and tiny holes, so I re-weaved the holes and hand patched the small tear with self fabric and tiny stitches. It is not at all noticeable when worn. See photos. Arrives clean, sturdy and ready to wear.
